The City of Quarrata wanted to improve the user experience of the municipal library through integrated and modern management of available resources. The main goal was to provide a Cloud-based system for management and monitoring of shared locations in the library; as well as efficient and secure WiFi connectivity accessible to everyone.
It also wanted to simplify access to library resources (workstations, WiFi, periodicals, book lending, etc.) using a unique and personal credential system. The ultimate goal was to integrate all services to improve library management both operationally and for library users.
To address these needs, the City of Quarrata collaborated with CS Srl and inPiazza to implement a tailored solution that would include the management system for public stations. The solution includes:
Centralized credential management: credentials combined with the libraryʼs personal card allow each user to automatically and easily access all resources. Usersʼ access is via preferred authentication methods.
The integration project of the KeySurf solution for monitoring shared workstations with the access system has proven to be crucial in improving the accessibility and efficiency of the services offered. Among the significant results of this implementation, the City has reported a more seamless, intuitive and satisfying overall experience in the library. The assurance of secure and efficient connectivity, as well as the simplicity of access management through authentication with library credentials, has increased the frequency of resource use by users. In addition, through increased operational efficiency, the centralized library system enables reduced management time and improved quality of service provided by library staff.
The KeySurf platform, provided by CS srl, thanks to the optimized management of the Cloud locations and WiFi accesses of inPiazza, has allowed us to offer citizens an efficient and accessible internet service that complies with PNRR 1.2. This has made the library an example of innovation and modernity, significantly improving the experience of our users.
The partnership with inPiazza for the municipality of Quarrata, allowed us to integrate into our KeySurf platform for access management and use of public stations, a robust and reliable internet connectivity system, suitable for every need, allowing us to complete the service offering. This synergy has enabled us to create a modern, connected space that facilitates access to digital resources for all citizens.
